On Thursday, January 17, 2019, Southeastern Institute’s Columbia campus hosted an alumni mixer. More than 20 Southeastern graduates from the Columbia area attended the event to network with fellow alum and members of the Institute’s faculty and staff.

The mixer was highlighted by a panel discussion featuring current and former members of the campus community. Krystal Barclay, PMCT ’12, Anesia Lewis, MA ’18, and Phillip Hutchinson, a former instructor in the Pharmacy Technology program, served on the panel, and discussed the value of networking and ways for graduates to broaden their employment opportunities.

“It was wonderful to see alumni who were excited to reconnect with their fellow classmates and their school,” said Campus President Janet Clark. “What made me happy was to see that the alumni left wanting more interaction with each other and the Institute.”

The event was the first-of-its-kind for Southeastern’s Columbia campus and was developed to help alumni reconnect with the Institute while growing a support system for recent graduates and current students. Graduates who were unable to attend the event but are interested in reconnecting with the campus community are encouraged to call about the opportunities that exist.
